ABOUT
Kirkliston Children's Gala Day is the annual community celebration that has been in continuation since 1924. It has traditionally taken place on the 2nd Saturday in June and features a week of activities culminating in the actual Gala Day where a Primary 7 girl will be chosen to be crowned as the Gala Day Queen for that year. All main roles are drawn at random with the exception of our Crowner, who is chosen through a public nomination process. All Primary 1 and 7 children are offered a part.
The purpose of the Gala Day is to create a fun filled day for all the family, for everyone that lives in the Kirkliston area. We also want everybody to get involved, no matter how small or large their contribution, to bring back the "old fashioned community values".
We have a small but dedicated committee who are always looking for helpers so if you would like to help out or get involved please do not hesitate to contact us.
